Catholic Law alumni James Dietrich '95 and Jennifer Harrison '12 were recently featured in an episode of CBS's 48 Hours for their roles in prosecuting a unique case of depraved heart second-degree murder. Their case against a Maryland oral surgeon resulted in the dentist's conviction for providing his girlfriend with addictive anesthesia medications that resulted in her death, arguing that by doing so, he showed extreme indifference to her life.
Dietrich, a Catholic Law lecturer who teaches Evidence and Criminal Procedure, and Harrison serve as Assistant State's Attorneys for Montgomery County, Maryland. To watch the episode, click here.
