Lisa Freeman '88, an alumna of Catholic Law, has been reappointed by Governor Jeff Landry as both the Governor’s Representative for Highway Safety in Louisiana and the Executive Director of the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission. This marks a continuation of her leadership, following six years in these roles under former Governor John Bel Edwards. As Executive Director, Freeman oversees the state’s highway safety grant program in partnership with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, part of the U.S. Department of Transportation. Her work is dedicated to expanding access to highway safety resources and improving transportation safety for all residents of Louisiana.
