Small Business ProBono Clinic at Catholic LawLaw students review intake instructions prior to the start of the DC Bar Pro Bono Center's Small Business Brief Advice Legal Clinic 

Small Business ProBono Clinic at Catholic LawCatholic Law hosted the DC Bar Pro Bono Center's Small Business Brief Advice Legal Clinic at the law school on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, giving Catholic Law students the opportunity to practice legal intake with entrepreneurs on questions ranging from how to start a small business, employment law, intellectual property, real estate, taxation, and more. Since 1999, the Center has supported small businesses through its Small Business Legal Assistance Program, providing essential legal guidance to entrepreneurs in the District.

Law students Adam Wambold (3L), Jason Kellogg (4E), Niya Pattasseril (2L), Matthew Clark (1L), Noah Cliften (1L), and Matthew McDougal (1L) took advantage of the opportunity on campus. The law school also partnered with the University’s Busch School of Business to offer the service to the Business School’s family business consortium and their Entrepreneurship Center. The Clinic rotates locations throughout the year and the law school looks forward to having the Clinic back in the future.

Small Business ProBono Clinic at Catholic LawAdam Wambold reflected, “It was a great experience to try something new. I had the chance to shadow a healthcare law attorney who was assisting a client in establishing a new telehealth company.”
