The Seventh Annual Dean's Dinner took place at the St. Regis Washington, D.C. Dean Regina T. Jefferson presented the 2019 Dean’s Dinner Scholarship Star Awards to Kathleen Q. Abernathy ’83 and Joseph Peter Drennan ’81. After the presentation of the awards, she introduced and welcomed Arthur N. Fuccillo ’78 to the podium. Fuccillo served as moderator to the four-person panel and briefly introduced the other panelists, Kathleen Q. Abernathy ’83, Julie M. Kearney ’98, and the Honorable William T. Newman Jr. ’77. The Dean’s Dinner has become an annual spring tradition at Catholic Law as a means of raising scholarship support for students. On Thursday, April 19, 2018, the Sixth Annual Dean's Dinner took place at the St. Regis Washington, D.C. The special guest speaker was Francis X. Coonelly '86, President of the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Fifth Annual Dean's Dinner was held at the Cosmos Club in Washington, D.C., where there was a reception and dinner featuring keynote remarks from Daniel M. Gallagher, Jr.,’99, the former Commissioner of the Securities and Exchange Commission and newly announced Chief Legal Officer of Mylan N.V., a global pharmaceutical company. The Third Annual Dean’s Dinner, which doubled in size from the previous year, also took place at The Army and Navy Club on April 9, 2015. Once again hosted by many members of the law school’s Board of Visitors and other donors, the cocktail hour and dinner featured White House Counsel, W. Neil Eggleston, as the guest speaker. Hosted by many members of the law school’s Board of Visitors and other donors, the cocktail hour and dinner featured Paul D. The Dean’s Dinner began as a fundraiser in April 2013, honoring Daniel F. Attridge, during his inaugural year as Dean of the Columbus School of Law. The contributions supported the law school’s general student scholarship fund. A group of approximately 70 people attended the rooftop reception and dinner at Fiola, a highly-regarded restaurant on Pennsylvania Avenue. Click here to view photos from this event.
