The Sports and Entertainment Law Society of the Columbus School of Law was organized in March of 1994 to provide an informational resource for students interested in exploring the various career opportunities available in the field of entertainment and sports law. The purpose of the society is to provide a forum for the discussion of past, current, and potential legal issues pertaining to amateur and professional sports as well as in the entertainment world from television, internet, music, and film projects. The Sports and Entertainment Law Society provides guest speakers from within the law school, the sports and entertainment community, and the legal profession to address contractual, labor, antitrust, taxation, and other legal topics germane to the industry.
